Request ids & logs

Every answer, served or refused, carries a request id: req_ and 32 hexadecimal characters.

Where to find it

• In the Masjidbox-Request-Id header of every response.
• In the requestId member of every error body.

Log it next to your own request, so you can match a complaint from a user to the call behind it.

Your request log

The console lists your recent requests, per project: when, which operation, the status, the masjid, the latency. Paste a request id in the lookup to open that request.

A request shows up in the log about a minute after it was made. Error bodies give a direct link to the request in requestLogUrl.

Asking for help

Quote the request id. It is how we find your request, and the only thing we need: never send us your key.
